And a good time was had by all
Wanaka had its inaugural Tweed Ride last week! We had a rollicking time of it, clad in the finest tweedy threads we could muster. There was a good showing of ‘old faithfuls’ going as far back as the 1930’s (I’m talking of the bikes here, not the riders, who had all, of course, sprung fresh and lithe directly from the fountain of youth).
A handsome little gathering assembled at the shop, where moustaches were pulled and petticoats admired (oooh!). After a highly athlectic jaunt into town, we retired to the lakeside and savoured the nip of autumn, before making a mad dash for the safe haven of Kai Whaka Pai for a beverage.
See you next time. Jolly Good!
