Wheels 29" / 29+ / 27.5+
The TR Boost takes both 29” wheels and 27.5+ wheels as they share the same diameter, roughly.
Max Tire Width 29x3.0" / 27.5x3.0"
Put a 27.5+ 3” tire under for more grip and playfulness or go for slightly larger 29” tires (in diameter) for a more racy setup. It’s always good practice to double check the fit beforehand. Some 29x3.0" tires but as tires vary from brand to brand make sure to test the fit.
This is the sweet spot for our forks. Since the travel is fairly short and progressive, we don’t need damping. That makes the fork a lot simpler and maintenance free.
Weight 1.000 g
The TR Boost is very light - especially when compared to other boost forks. Be prepared to lift your front wheel over rocks instead of navigating past. The TR Boost is 1.000g.
Unsprung Weight 260 g
The low unsprung weight is one of the design elements that makes this fork extremely good at tracking small bumps and chatter which gives you great traction and isolates you from vibration.
Spring Rate Regular (over 65 kg / 143 lbs) or Light (under 70 kg / 154 lbs)
This should be used as a reference. If you’re an aggressive rider it’s likely that you’d prefer the “Regular” stiffness, even though you weigh less than 70kg. You won’t lose any of the small bump compliance.
Axle 15 mm Lauf Thru-Axle
We supply all forks with our own axles. We made a lightweight low profile axle which requires a 6mm allen key. If you prefer a lever, you can replace it with e.g. the RockShox Maxle.
Hub Spacing 110 mm
The TR Boost uses boost hub spacing. You can use a spacer kit to use a non-boost hub, but to fully take advantage of the boost technology you should use a boost hub.
Rake 49 mm
Goes hand in hand with our Axle to Crown length. This fork is designed to “trail” the same as a 80-100 mm suspension fork.
Axle to Crown 485 mm
It’s designed to replace a 100mm XC fork. When you take sag into account on a normal telescopic fork, the axle to crown length is roughly the same.
Steerer Tapered 1 1/8" - 1 1/2"
It’s also possible to fit our forks on bikes that have an oversized headtube (44mm). Then the lower bearing needs to be changed to a 1.5”. Uncut steerer length 250mm.
Minimum Rotor Size 180 mm
180mm is minimum but if you prefer a larger rotor, spacers can be used.
Rider Weight Limit 110 kg
This is your weight in riding gear.
